Appraisal Fees

Appraisal and related services fees vary according to the nature and scope of work to be undertaken. As a general rule, fees are based on an hourly rate.  Hourly rates apply to time spent on at your site as well as expert time spent conducting research and reviewing your appraisal prior to completion.  We have a three-hour minimum fee for most assignments.

An in-office fee is charged for secretarial services, administrative costs, report preparation, compilation, processing, handling and postage. 

We will be glad to quote “discount” rates for appraisals from photographs and descriptions sent to us via email or regular mail.  We offer a “discount” for on-site consultations. 

We are able to provide “flat fees” or “estimates” once we have your specific requirements, such as the quantity and type of items involved as well as your location. 

Photographs

At the discretion of the appraiser, digital photographs may be taken of some or all items for in-office use. 

Copies of these photographs can be sent to you at no charge only by email.  Prints of photographs are available at an additional fee.

As part of our Collections Management Program, prints of photographs, keyed and imprinted by catalog number to the appraisal report are also available at an additional cost. 

Reports

You will receive one printed copy of the Certified Appraisal report via Priority Mail.  Additional copies are available at an additional cost to be determined by the size of the report. 

Copies of the Certified Appraisal report can be provided to you on a disk in Word or Excel format at an additional cost.

Copies of the Certified Appraisal report can be emailed to you, your agent or lawyer at no additional cost.
